NYCHA Goes Smoke-Free
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) passed a landmark rule aimed at providing smoke-free protections for families residing in public housing developments. The rule requires all HUD funded public housing authorities to implement a smoke-free policy by July 30, 2018. This documentary-style film shares the thoughts and views of NYC Housing Authority (NYCHA) residents, public health professionals and tobacco control advocates regarding NYCHA’s response to the HUD rule.
